Michele Liparesi

Biography

Michele Liparesi was born in Bologna on August 1, 1986. After graduating from the Liceo Artistico Arcangeli and graduating in Visual Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, in 2012 he won first prize at the "Right Brain in a White Box" in Artitude, at the Fuori Salone in Milan. In 2015, he graduated a second time in Visual Arts and New Expressive Languages address sculpture, at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. The artist focuses on the relationship between environment and time and on the fragility of our perception of both, creating sculptures with recycled and reused metal mesh, which project the observer towards an unknown space, creating unexpected projections of shadow and light on the walls. Thanks to the wire mesh, the shape of the object is described in its entirety, as a step after Cubism, being able to see the work "inside and through".
