Born in Genoa in 1966, Vanni Cuoghi is an artist who lives and works in Milan. He graduated from the State Art Institute of Chiavari and later obtained a degree in scenography at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts. Between 1989 and 1992 he worked as an illustrator for important Italian magazines and attended the Disney Academy. Until 2002 he frescoed and decorated the interiors and exteriors of several churches and palaces, reinterpreting the great elements of Baroque decorative art. During his career he has obtained several awards and has participated in important exhibitions and events, such as the Venice Biennale and the exhibition "Nuovo Profilo Italiano", at the stand of the Area B gallery at scope Art Fair in New York. On the occasion of the Salone del Mobile, at the Bianconi gallery in Milan, he presents twelve majolica plates decorated at the Gatti workshop in Faenza. In 2008 he also frescoed the entire façade of the church of Santa Caterina da Genova with the stories of the life of the Saint.
