Bruno Bani

Biography

Bruno Bani was born in Cernusco sul Naviglio (Milan) in 1964 and began to devote himself to photography since adolescence. Since 1978 he has been working at a prepress and printing company where he is currently project manager. He collaborates, as a photographer, with art galleries and artists archives, public and private companies, cultural organizations, magazines, publishing houses. Since 2006 he has combined his interest in photography with that of painting. His works have been exhibited in several contemporary art fairs in Italy (Affordable art Fair, Milan, Arte Cremona, Cremona, PaviArt, Pavia and Arte Padova, Padua) and abroad (Affordable art Fair, New York and Antwerp Art Fair, Mulhouse Cedex France). Between 2016 and 2018 his solo exhibitions were held at the Alson Gallery and Statuto13 galleries in Milan, the Hotel Baglioni in London and the Bottegantica gallery in Bologna. He participates with his works in some events for the Fuori Salone del Mobile 2018 in Milan. In a text related to the work of the artist Roberto Sottile writes "Bani's works seem generated and blocked in the moment of becoming 'other', one would want to touch them to understand how the artist has managed to shape the material and subjugate it to the rules of stability and harmony. Time and matter but more simply construction and form!" He lives and works in Milan.

Bruno Bani - Conceptual Art
